I resisted the urge to simply respond with something short and snarky, as I think that, if you asked this question sincerely, I ought to answer it as such.
My advice? Don’t occupy yourself too much with the roundabout stuff. Do things that make you happy - what you wear and how you spend your time and how you speak and what you say and all of that. Be pleasing to yourself, and I think that’s more than enough to merit the attention of someone else. And hell, be direct. Do you notice him? Say something. He’ll respond - one way or the other - and with that, you’ll know the next step. Life is too short for all of this wait-and-see business, you know?
Beck's latest creation is more than a mere sequel to 2002's brooding masterpiece, Sea Change. But, like so many descriptors flying around, it doesn’t convey much about the work itself — especially since “sequel” is often shorthand for “copy,” which this most certainly is not.
